Mailkit Professional
This version of Mailkit includes all the features of Standard Mailkit. In addition it includes special features designed for professional Mailing Houses:
CODEPLUS
CodePlus is provided as standard but with the following additional features:
DEDUPLICATING
Duplicate address lists can be saved as XML files, and emailed to your client.
FILE EDITING
Addresses can be edited, added or deleted from CSV files. Postcode formats can be checked and corrected. Block changes can be made to existing postcodes, for example change all AB1 postcodes to AB11.
BATCHING
Large sorted single weight files can be broken into batches for separate mailings without loss of discount. This is of special benefit to mail order houses, smoothing order processing workloads and avoiding the need for extra staff at peak times.
INTERNATIONAL
International sorted files can have bag markers inserted between countries, and a country list displayed in Internet Explorer and emailed to your clients.
MIXED WEIGHT REPORTS
The Professional version of Mailkit also handles Mixed Weight Mailings. This is needed when some items in a mailing include additional inserts which may vary by region or type.
To use Mixed Weights your address file must contain a field identifying the weight code to be associated with each address. This field can be any length but only the first three characters are significant. You can have any number of weight codes in the file. Mailkit Professional has a special Mixed Weights Reports module. You may enter the weights manually or import a file holding the information. The number of items and the total weight are calculated as the program runs. The module produces the posting reports and line listings in the Royal Mail Mixed Weight Format. These reports may be emailed to Royal Mail as an XML file. The weight code is printed on each label so that the packers can see which items to include in each packet. You may print the labels for each weight code in a separate run.
